4 point Harness mounting

i bought a set of 4 points and buckets. i was going to mount the upper straps with bolts through the rear firewall of my gq extra cab, just below the window, with plates on the back. any rules against this for comps (rockcrawling).
what is the min size/ thickness of the steel plates needed on the back of the firewall if it is ok.

my roll cage is on the outside so i don't want an internal one as well just for belt mounting.

Not sure there is any actual ruling on this but mine is mounted this way. But the rear straps only go through the plates and then run down to the floor.

You can see the mount behind the drivers seat in this pic. Basicaly its 2 pieces of 75x5(Aprox flat with 3 75x5 spacers so the harness has a gap to run over and through and its not clamped in there. The 3 spacers are where the bolts are and are on the inside.

I would also like to know, i have a Simpson 5 point that is the type that wraps around the rollcage.
I was also wanting to mount it in a similar possition ( just under the rear window ) about where Tony's is. But it cant go to the floor. So would it be strong enough to mount up there?

seems a good way - will the belts wear on the edge.

can a scrutineer respond please, hate to drill holes and have to do it another way

Learnt all about the CAMS 30% rule when getting my fitted for OBC (ie angle of belt can't be more or less than 30% to anchor point). Check CAMS manual for specifics, I'm unsure of the details.

Requirements appear to be different for different comps

Mine uses an unboltable (kept rear seat in Jeep) lateral brace in the upper third of the main hoop for the belts to run over and down to the floor.
