the intercoolers are off the 2.8s  not big enough for the flow for 4.2 ... and not enough cooling ...

tinker with the boost and fuel ..
think u need a new accentuator to play with the boost ...

No experience with the Kits but if you get 4WD monthly can't remember what issue but it was in the last 18 months I think for sure there was an article on massaging the 4.2TD with great results using a off the shelf kit. (turbo is rebuilt, fuel is mucked around with etc, cant remember the other mods)

Then again it might if been 4WD Australia but I don't usually buy it so I am pretty sure 4WD Monthly.

The above is a about as useful as a spadge full of cold water but it is a lead.

So that's where i've seen you before :D

What $$$ are we looking at for a decent upgrade on the intercooler? 2HI4U is running a frontmount and about 14psi from memory and in my opinion it still doesn't go as hard as the new TD42's.

Maybe speak to west end diesel in wetherille park, they can hi-flow your turbo (both ends) and tinker with your injector pump.

That sounds almost as expensive as an entire kit with a decent sized toibo etc ...
