Wife's 80 RR right angle speedo drive is stuffed.
A quick internet search, and $178.
They must be joking!
Are they realy that expensive?
Can they be rebuilt cause that is a rediculous price.

I've had them apart in the past. Biggest problem is removing the welsh plug.
Before you pull it apart (last resort). Remove the unit and try spinning it with you fingers and feel how tight/rough it is. Then work heaps of wd40 or similar into it and see if it improves.
I may have 1 or 2 old ones (that I should have thrown out) that, with yours, may help you make 1 usable one from the parts if you want. I'm in Swansea.
