Does anyone know what fuel capacity a 1.0ltr Sierra has?

Moose is right they are 40 litres
James,
I'd use the tank out of your vitara, it a larger capacity and you can mount it through the floor (Like Gregs)
If you leave the stock sierra tank in its stock location it'll cop a caining, I'd move it or make up some kind of bash plate, (but that will still be something to get hung up on).

yea its 40 litres. you should be putting about 30 in when the gauge is at empty.
My fuel tank is holding less after the weekend. I went to toolangi with Michael. I am thinking that making a bash plate of some type will be a priority this week.
I had a look at the mounting points underneath as I was thinkinging that I would use those points to hold the plate on however they are all at different levels.
How or where do most people attatch or make bash plates.

Perhaps make up a tube rear bar and run the bash plate from it to the floor up in front of the tank.

Have a look at the shrockworks web site. They are based in the US. However they do have some good photos of fuel tank bash plates.
They have a link on the zukiworld.com website.

Its official. Im a bloody idiot. I had done a quick patch job on the fuel tank a few months ago that worked untill it got knocked off on the weekend. all I had done was a bit of aluminium with some arildite. I decided to do it again thinking it would be fine with a bash plate covering it.
anyhow I made it up and used the jack to hold the patch in place while the resin dried. forgot about it then climed in the back of the car to grab somthing. looked underneath to see petrol flowinging out. what was once a small split that only leaked under pressure is now a much bigger problem.
