Also a change over mechanical air or vac switch will also work as vac always there. ie vac one way hold on, other way to hold off.

Some older models of Camira have solenoids that can be used--these are much larger and of a different shape to the existing one though. Solenoids like the original can also be found on many late model Nissan cars. Its possible with a bit of effort, to remove only the faulty solenoid from the holder and replace it with another one. They are only available from Nissan as a complete unit with 2 solenoids.
