Well I' decided it was time for a bit of a freshen up, with the inner guards removed on my old front clip and a couple of nudges from various obstacles the guards had popped off the body mounts leaving the whole front a flimsy piece of scrap metal.
I had a spare front clip from my old tin top but have always been keen on the 1.0 grills I like the old school jeep-like appearance.
I tried to nab the clip off the doner car for the SR20 build up but got beaten by the wrecking yard compacter. I ended up swapping my current bonnet and spare front clip with vitarajim for his 1.0 bonnet and front clip.
A funny turn of events is that this clip used to be on a sierra sold from this board to a mate of mine (I went with him to look at it) about 18 months ago so I guess its come back to me.
Some plans are:
~ Trim the fronts out of the guards (Won't go no inners first up wanna see how the tyres fit)
~ Full Respray, something less flourescant, probably a sand colour or possibly even OD as a last resort.
~ Seam weld/brace the remaining steel for extra strength
Will POst more pics as painting and stuff start

Looks good steve. but where's the ladder racks?
Something at little less flourescant, why is this so? I'm sure that if you're driving a car with no doors, no roof, no windscreen and no flares it's gonna get some attention no matter what colour it is.
Well I'm guessing that they didn't think everyone would carry on like a big bunch of sooky girls over it like they have........
It'll have flares and mud flaps, all the other items are not legally required and vic roads will certify that.

totally agree, me love the purple, considering purple for my zook, but would mean a name change, unless there are purple frogs? christover

I miss Cane Toads
Generaly you need to stand with your knees slightly bent, head over the cane toad. Swing through with a nice easy swing whilst keeping your down.
Whack!
Now stand back with that satisfying smile knowing you are actually helping the environment and not some twisted sicko who likes hitting things with a big stick

Prefer a hockey stick, seem to flex less allowing you to "get onto it" better resulting in better air .. also harder to damage
Used to be a half a cane toad set into the bitumen outside my unit when I lived in cairns ..

I drove over it with a Jimny quite a few times ... and I found that you were better off with a shortish wide tyre as you had a better chance of getting more toads in one go, preferably in an MT pattern, as the can get kinda slippery ....

well thats okay then why didn't you just say so before? Wouldn't a road tire be better on a slippery road though
