Cutting Muddies

Post by -Scott- »

I just found this link, about cutting BFG MTs and Goodyear MTRs. Not hugely scientific, but I'm happy! :D

Hello? did you click on the link?
Its cut as in tyre cut open to compare thickness of sidewall etc.
It says what I allready knew. MTRs are good. BFGs are poo.
Would be interesting to see if they got some swampers and baja claws cut up and compared to the radials too.

my computer wouldnt let me go to it thats why i was asking.
but ur right it would be interesting to see a comparison between the claws and swampers, but arent the claws spose to be the toughest tyre in the world or is that just the bias belted?

That test shows nothing conclusive.
No dimensions are given, different type of abrasive conditions were not tested. Rubber reacts differently to different cutting materials and surtfaces. Some better than others some worse depending on the chemical and lubrication present.
