super charge vs v8 conversion

Post by NICK »

i am looking at a 304 5L commodore and 5speed conversion on my 93 2wd rodeo. The other option is to super charge the 4ze1.

Anyone done anything like this? pros and cons?

Biggest hassel you will have with this conversion is the Clutch as a commodore runs a cable and the rodeo runs hydrolic. If you go with an auto or even buy an adapter to run a toyota 5spd it will work. Its defianatly going to be a better set up that Supercharging the factory engine. Both in reliability and performance.

Joking? i was looking at a VS 5L, i thought something that late would have been hyd.

We were talking about it at work today, and buy the time i do throttle body, injectors, computer, rebuild and mount the supercharger and dyno it i will equal out to be a v8 conversion. I can get the front cut with everything i need for $1750.

things i can get for the supercharger cheap are,

Kia or Honda throtle body. both twin 45mm or commodore at 78mm
injectors, NL 3.5 pajero which are the same as magna blue tips (apparnatly good.) Mark can bebuild the super charger.
