Starting on my Big Mods
I will be at Superior tomorrow doing my big mods.
Crossover steer, IFS leafs front dropped hanger, new shackle mounts, Explorer leafs rear, new rear hangers maybe new rear shackle mounts, track bar, all new shock towers, using 80 series diffs under the lux.
Hopefully I'm helping out as much as I can, cos now I see this list it is looking pretty expensive.
Will pass on your regards Nick.
Josh.

Hmmm... would that b the same great bloke who said freewheelin hubs weren't possible on 80's? LOL.
Actually I don't know if I'll go the super short pitman, cos if u look at the pic of the steering arm where the draglink mounts is further out than standard, so I'll end up with next to no turning circle with a short pitman.
Maybe 80 series?

Thanks Tony, you left one post behind.
There's a few rigs running around with these arms, and it seems a few shops are in a hurry to copy, but like you said Ruff there is prolly a better way.
But for me it is the only option ATMO, and believe me I think I tried em all, and engineer was won over easy too, so I'm happy for the moment.

I think it realy needs to pick up on at least one of the caliper bolts and also the Steering stop bolt. We are having problems with High steer arms on Hilux's comming loose and these are held on at the Knuckle with 4 bolts. Its a lot of force being applied once you are offroad and bound up.
What is the bolt on its own out near the end at the top?

We are a lot closer to you than Mick is. But we wouldnt take on a job like this. We dont do any 4wd mods to make money. We build Airconditioning Units for Trucks. 4WDs are a hobby to us. We do make a few custom parts but this is usually only when the AC work is quiet. The Traction Control and Our Heavy Duty CVs are about the only other things we are getting into seriously.
We should have heavy duty CVs for Toyotas available to the general public by the end of the month. Cost will be $250 each.

the steering arm will not clear the springs - when i did my perches i tried to make them as low as humanly possible without going stupid. I have 6 leaf spring packs. Unless there is at least a 25mm raise in the steering arm it wont fit. Anyway good luck it might work.
