35's on GU

well, i've done the deal & i'll pick up my 2000 DX 4.2 TD CoilCab tomorrow & now the fun begins
First up it needs new tyres & I figured I wont muck around so i'll put 35's on it straight away if it's relativly easy [ 35's & 33's almost same price]
So what's involved? [ 35/12.5/15]
Will they fit with a 2 inch suspension lift alone?
What rim offset? [ front arches have eyebrows, sorry Rover talk, flares]
How will the gearing cope?
Recalibrate the speedo easy? What else do I need to consider?

ive got a 2001 coil cab and i run 35x12.5 on road and 38.5x14x15 tsl swampas offroad with a 6"spring lift & 2 1/2" body lift but the 35's rubbed a bit offroad so i put the snake racing 5" drop radius arms on which made it drive like new again & also stopped the scrubbing becasuse they push the diff foward 2-3".when i started to run the 38.5" swampas they would scrub on turns so got 4-5" cut out of the guard & had the flare modified.i found offroad the gearing was effected when getting into the steep stuff but on road it was fine.i put reduction gears in the transfer case to fix the low range which is nothing short of awesome.i looked at new pinion gears 4.66 i think but didnt give the reduction i wanted but that depends on what 4bn you do most.hope this helps,if you want any more info or advice with your truck let me know,i have done all the work on mine myself so got to know them pretty well.

Ive got 35's on mine with a 3" lift, tho it's prob more like 2" lift from stock standard. No rubbing on the front and some rubbing on the rear (not a prob for you). Gearing on road is not a prob with the TD-6, but it sucks off road. Way too fast down hill and need 1st low for most up hill. Will need reduction gears.
