Looking at purchasing a FJ-40 (might), anyways it has a spring over conversion and body lift and runs 35's. It is in great nic and so on, but no power steering.

Question how much is the gear to make an FJ have power steering, who does what price we looking for both brand new and second hand.......................HELP NEEDED!

where abouts are you?

most places charge around 1000 dollars for a 60 series conversion. that price includes the steering box. money well worth it IMHO.

you could do it yourself. $$ would be about half of that. but probably twice (+ the rest) in time.

if your looking for a factory 40 series P/S box. good luck. they are fairly pricey, if you find one. a mate sold his to a wrecker for 600 and the wrecker would have sold it straight away and made easy money on it.

its Expensive shite anyway you look at it...

you are lucky to get the whole kit, as you need a 55 column apparently and other bits and pieces.

its all verrry confusing, for now i run armstrong steering.

nah his is still sitting there. full kit with 60 series steering column and crown/corona whatever the box is.

i used a 60 series box.

his steering never got engineered, but id say it would only be a couple hundred more with an engineers.
