Max tyre width on std rims?

Can a 30 x 9.5 x 15 fit on std rims or will i need to get wider rims??

I think they will fit but not recomended. 235/75/15 fits on I know.

isnt that about the same size as a 9.5 inch wide tyre?

Yes they will fit. I have fitted 30x9.5's on both standard Vitara and sierra rims before. Most tyre guys are not too happy about it. but they do work very well.

Yeah, I put 33x9.5's on Vit 5.5" rims. They go on but not legal so you need to find an understanding tyre guy.

Weld in a beadlock ring, gives you another 1/2 inch roughly & beadlocks with the standard rim would be unique-ish

a 12.5 on a standard 5 1/2 inch rim?

How does it drive on the road? Your tyres must be wearing quite unevenly

I find it hard to believe that a tyre shop would even fit them or do you have a set of tyre irons?

sorry mate, long day, too many things on my mind. Even so how well does the vehicle handle with a 12.5 on a 7" rim?

only run them at 18psi /on road
can go down to 4psi offroad , no beadlocks !!!
just run toobs !!

handling is fine on road !! (xcept in the wet !!! :twisted: )
wear is good !! been DD for nearly 2 1/2 years !! (33x12.5 swampers)

30x9.5 is legal on 6" rim and Zooks are 5.5 inch until later Vitaras.

235/75 would be the limit, legally, but heaps of people have used 30's on 5.5.
