Rover V8 hilux

Post by SASS »

Just saw the write up on ruffs Rover V8 hilux in the members section and was wondering if anyone else has done this conversion? Im looking to swap the 22r in my luxie and the 3.9L EFI looks like a torquey little motor.
If anyone has done this conversion drop me a line and tell me what u think of it, How Much Did It Cost.

cheers

The commodore V6 prob makes the same sort of HP and for your aplication would be a better option. Main reason i used the Rover motor was for their weight.

I cant say for sure but going by size they should be. The Lexus has more steel in it due to the Extra cam and valve train.

The rover is defianatly a better fit than the Lexus.

I know of a bloke that shoe horned an EFI 4.4L leyland with 4spd and Toyota transfer case into his Lux...

Nice, nice note, nice go factor.... Nice bill.

He's doing well...
