5:12 diff gears

Hey guys im new but was wondering if anyone could help me? I am about to put 5:12 diff vitara front diff gears into the front diff in my sierra and can remember reading somewhere in this board that you need to shim the crownwheel out so you have enough adjustment to set backlash properly. Can anyone help i am sick of having a 2WD zook!!!

Yep that link was exactly what i was after Thank you!! I do have a 5:12 rear diff it came in a housing i got from a jap import wrecker it even has a LSD! It also saved me from buying reduction gears for my transfer case.

Yeah i need a front air locker! If anyone has one for sale let me know, very keen
