Twin Transfer case adaptors.???

Post by Cheezy4x4 »

Ok Nissan/Mav people I want to know who is interested in a twin transfer adaptor for your truck. I am testing them and when I say GO they will be for sale. :D Some numbers for you all to ponder.
Standard crawl ratio with 4.1 diffs and 5 speed. 37.269
Crawl with Marks Gears 66.42
Crawl with Marks and 4.6 diff gears 76.75
Crawl with Twin cases standard and 4.6 Diff 84.46
Crawl with twin cases and 1 marks gears 155.04
Crawl with twin cases and 2 marks gears 283.99
Crawl with twin cases, 2 marks and 4.88 diff 300.63

I have been putting up with 76.75 to 1 with 39.5 tires and its OK but will be at 300.63 to 1 from here on.
So who is interested $$$$ will be known soon.

Price to come  In a long wheel you need another cross member and shorten rear shaft and front one longer, a few internal mods and done. :D

how much lengthen /shorten ?
what do you have to do to original cross member where the front driveshaft hits ?
As you probably know i have just fitted marks crawler gears and while they are pretty low it could do with a bit lower as a nice speed is at 500 revs and it tends to stall at that speed, also i miss the higher speed of low range so having a normal low range and a low low range would be excellent.
why didn't you bring these out a few months ago, a crawler box would be heaps better than crawler gears

hmmm, just looking at your numbers again and standard transfer cases with my 4.6 diffs would work out pretty much perfect with the 35's i'm running.

I would love to have a set of these one with low gears init but haveing a shorty I rekon I would be pushing shit uphill to make them fit. The bloody tailshaft is a problem noe let alone making it shorter.

Yes, I wouldnt put a twin T-Case in a shorty as the tailshaft will be 9" shorter. Thats almost uni to uni back to back :? As for LWB or a stretched SWB all is cool. :D 8) You can have 3 sets of low gears. :D

COOOL

is this another "ghost" product

yeah cool mate, we got cruiser crawlers, pictured on teh website, and a harcore guy is testing them, he drives an 80 series  and yeah they will be released as of 6 months ago, but we'll never be in touch as to when or why or for any prices, or further information other than what was posted in october, despite saying that we would, thanks for your time, please dont bother with us in future

as for driveshaft length, ill bet if i had a shorty and a desire to fit them, then it would go easy!
hands and mums dont count!!!

To bad the shaft will end up being way to short as I have a spare gearbox / X-fer case shitting in the shed (gearbox is dodgy but the rest is ok). Done enough panel mods will wait for it to get dented a bit more before I even think of streching the wheel base abit.

Nah but it will be for sale soon. Just waiting on the ute to be done. Or for smoke to magically re-enter the computer in my Magna.

ill get some in the next couple of days, you only need the centre bearing and the flanges either side of it, the hilux and nissan shafts are the same size so i just put a sleeve in the center and welded the two halves together.
