no idea im not up to date with lpg setups mine works so i leave it alone
all 3 converters i hav3e have a barbed fitting on the back of them these need to be connected into the snorkel so the converter compensates for the extra airflow the snorkel creates to the engine
ill take a photo shortly of what im talking about if you wan

ok 1 is of a spare converter i have and theres a threadded hole in the back of it get a connection and attatch it there and also theres a photo of the converter in my 40 it was hooked up with a snorkel but it was smashed when it was rolled
from that barb on the back it just had a pipe running to a connection that had been araldited into the snorkel intake before the airfilter
you can prolly work it out from here
if your converter dosnt have this sorry i cant help main reason i know about this is cause turbo lpg setups this has to be plumed in as a boost reference so the converter pumps out more gas for the engine

Will stop that stalling some get when coming to a stop at lights etc, works for all vehicles not just GQs. Keeps the air ratio even.

Thanks Boys so plum the right angle plastic fitting in the second photo into the dirty side of the air box to help balance the air & gas flow in
vs the air being forced in via the snorkle or other air intake

I dont think you get a choice, with a 300a. i think that only applies to a bbq ring.

dont think the mixer is of any importance. (300A)
its the convertor with the diaphram, that regulates the flow of gas.
there is a breather hole on the diaphram that sees atmospheric pressure. but when your snorkel rams air into the carby, the carby sees pressures higher than atmospheric pressure. the balance pipe shares the snorkel pressure with the diaphram telling it to send more gas in.

yeah thats what i was trying to explain good job lol

good question.
i think its only for blow thru applications. as the gas needs the extra pressure to get back to its normal pressure.
with draw through the gas escapes easier from the vacuum created.
BUT it can also be used as a way of 'metering' the gas for better economy.
on a mates car he was complaining about it using rediculous amounts of gas. i noticed it had a balance pipe. this connected to the vacuum side of the butterfly, and when at idle it was tuned to run stoich. then when he put his foot down, it created less vacuum, increasing gas levels.
so when the balance pipe was disconnected it saw a more positive pressure (rather than when in the vacuum area) and pumped alot of gas into his engine.
i wouldnt worry about it for now.

youll have to retune to the new pressures.
also ive been thinking about where to put the balance pipe. i recon it would work better if it was put into the intake manifold. as pressures would increase with pushing the throttle in.
if you put it in the air cleaner. as you open the throttle the vacuum increases, giving a leaner mixture.

Thanx i will just have to keep playing till i work something out. The biggest problem i think is I have 2 snorkels and with both tops facing forward without the balance it surges at anything above 40km/h.
If i have 1 snorkel top facing back it runs fine and when i put the balance pipe on it spluttered all the time while accelerating but was ok while holding a constant speed with both snorkel tops forward.
