Post by simon lind »

the centre control arm on my fj40 moves around causing my steering to be quite unpredictable. any hints on things i can modify to get her to handle a little better? also the farcking suspension who and where can i go to to rectify this? is it hard to change to coils? sydney is my home.

I'll presume you have already tried to adjust it (centre arm assmebly) from the top. By putting more tension on the spring. There might be rebuild kits out there that lets you replace the spring in the top. That is if you cant make it tighter.

Also check for play in your pitman arm where it is attached to your draglink. Its very common for play or slop to occur there.

Not sure if this will help but good luck with it. I havent got into my suspension yet. So somebody else will have to help you there.
