Engine Noise
Engine Noise
Hi Guys,
I am sure this is a common prob with all GQ TD4.2's, when the engine is running at about 2400-2600 rpm (ie 100-110 on Freeway) the noise from the engine is probably a little too much for comfort. (Im sick of the passenger always bitching!).
The engine doesn't sound crook, it just sounds loud for that sort of rev range, is there anything that can be done to deaden the noise in the cabing, like putting in some sound proofing on firewall etc??
Thanks
Andrew

If engine OK then thick sound proofing on firewall and floor does help.
Check car mags etc.
OK, thats what I thought, may have to think about that then.
2nd option.... ear plugs for the whinging one
