Auto transmission oil cooler

Post by rignold »

Just after some thoughts on oil coolers for the GQ auto. I just bought a Maverick with a cooler attached to the engine side of raditor, but on weekend the plastic things (same ones used if putting thermo fan on) that hold the cooler in place put a hole in the radiator causing a bad leak. Is the cooler worth keeping?, or should I make up some brackets or something so I don't have to put those plastic things through the radiator?
I don't use it for towing or anything.

Keep the cooler. If you already have ir, then it won't hurt to keep it. Make up some brackets you lazy bum! :finger:

Seriously tho, I have an auto Mav to, and this is at the top of my wish list at the moment. Mainly coz the cooler your auto runs, the longer it will last.

I thought that would be the answer I get. I had a look last night as to where I could put it, there is just no room with AC condensor and electric fan etc, so I'm not sure where to put it yet.
