well i finally got round to removing the swaybar after many months of thinking about it....there is a slight difference you can feel but nothing to be concerned about.
has anyone done the maths and worked out a percentage of wheel travel increase from this mod????

i honestly dont know since i took mine off while roza was out of service... she rides alot better on the pavement without it in my opinion.... should be able to flex them tires this coming saturday with a few other rigs in a local club... will take pictures if i can and post them. will also let you know how the front responds without the sway bar. so hold tight.

swaybar
yeah ok....
i did notice that my fez drove better without the bar but i couldn't be sure if it was just the atmosphere of having it removed...

lol i know what you mean... and i thought that myself for a while.. but now i'm positive roza rides better with out it. i remember on the freeway i'd be jarred so much.. now its alot more smoother.... and if i hit a bump or a pothole... it doesnt reviberate through the whole front end and leave a nasty feeling in the rear.... its great, i love it. i gotta it a little easy on corners now though... i wont complain.

Rocky (aussie) have swaybar, it mounts to the axle at the spring pads, and the chassis at the front crossmember under the front of the car (behind the front bar)

swaybar
it's a good point that you bring up marc. At least it made me think about putting it back on.
I ditched mine about a year ago, and honestly had forgotten that I ever had one till this post came up.
I reckon this mod just makes the Feroza feel more like a 4WD on the road as you get a bit of body roll. Off road the difference is really noticeable, but remember that its not there and drive your vehicle accordingly.
Just dont expect your truck to handle like a car, dont drive it at speeds you would drive a car and dont throw it into corners like you do a car.

Actually, now that I think about it there was a lot more roll with the standard wheels. I now have 15X7 wide offset rims and this has stabilised the car a lot more, also cos it only has 235 tyres on it and they dont really bag too much.
If you are gonna do this mod keep your tyre pressures up there.

is it a good thing on the road to ride like a trolley?? i could never get them to travel in a straight line, or turn when i wanted them to

You'd be right I reckon without it there's no link between the front sides and it can act more like "independant" suspension if you get my drift

I noticed a decent difference with and without swaybar. Mine came without bar, but fitted borrowed one, and was shiat. Probably better on road, but thats not important to me, so it stayed off.

dont get me wrong boys, I do agree with you all that the feroza drives better off road without the sway bar but I do alot more on road driving so it is not worth the risk for me.
This just means that now when I go wheeling my front wheels are in the air more than they on the ground. Now thats not all that bad now is it.

well to tell you the truth... its a rightful PITA when that happens!!!! cuz the tire in the air's gonna get all the power and ur'll just end up spinning it.. besides.. it RIDES BETTER ON THE ROAD! trust me.. take it off!!!! you'll notice the difference! it rides SOOO much better... i used to get jarred around alot in my roza til i took it off.. now it doesnt do that nearly as much as it used to... besides, if you dont like how it rides on the road, you can always put it back on... but atleast take it off first... see what you think.. give it a few days driving around on there.... THEN make a decsison.. but i'm tellin ya mate.. take it off!

swaybar quick disconnect
anyone fitted a swaybar quick diconnect to their rocky?
jeff

hey jeff... dont think theres any need to do that because when you tighten your torsion bars, the sway bar no longer serves its purpose... so thats why its usually considered better to take it off in the long run.
