OK, here's the prob...
Mates SR5 having probs engaging the transfer into 4wd. Have checked the vaccum line to the transfer and all seems ok, when engaged it is sucking air, from which we believed should be the case. Hubs are locking properly, checked that on stands with front drive shaft out. Also tried to manually engage by taking cover plate off transfer and turning gears, seemed to engage but popped out soon after.
We seem to think there's an internal prob with the t/case..... has anyone else heard of this problem and/or how to fix it??? Is it a total rebuild??? He's thinking of getting a manual box and transfer to suit to save all the stuffing around.
Any thoughts?????
