gu coil cab suspension lift

Post by mr Z »

g'day everyone, the time is nearing for my gu to be lifted

this week i'm having 285/75/16 mtr's fitted, so all i've gotta do now is decide how high? and what type?

i will be doing a bit of long distance touring over the next couple of years as well as a bit of playing in the vic high country etc

i was originaly thinking of ome 50mm medium? or heavy?

anyone had any experience with the ltr shocks? are they worth the money?

i'm just not sure weather to go for a 3 inch lift??

any opinions/advice would be appreciated on different set ups etc

thanks

go the 3 inch, its a decent height and fits most rubbers under it up to 36 inchs without much dramas.

OME LTR's are prolly one of the few very good shocks around so get em if you can :D

Get medium as heavy can give u a harsher ride, but it would depend on what loads you plan to have on the tray etc etc and whether winch, dual battery kit, steel or alloy bullbar. those things are taken into consideration when choosing a springsetup being hard/medium etc

i have been reading about the GU's lately as i am buying one soon.

4x4 monthly did a good story on the coil cab they took to cape york. They said the OME suspension was the best thing you could do to it. ;)

Go for it and post pics i say!
