'93 2.8TD - Thats IFS Rocky, yes. So it would be restricted to Torsion Bar and leaf spring lift, so 2-2.5".

Body lift should be straight forward, but may need some research into bolt lengths, steering shafts, gearsticks etc, and some dicken around, as knowledge is not as available as say Hilux or GQ or whatever.

The Wide Track Rocky actually has Coil Springs in the rear.

Not sure if different in the IFS models, but in the leaf spring ones the gearing isnt that great, and with 33's you might find low range is low enough. It only about 28:1 crawl ratio or so on my leaf spring model.

I thought that the final crawl ratio is 34:1.
As mine is running the petrol 3Y with a 3.9:1 final drive. I believe the diesel runs a 3.3:1 final drive ( correct me if i'm wrong).

Sadly gearing sucks big time. If u're into rock climbing it's better to start with a different vehicle.
Unless there's some mad people out there who wanna do a group purchase and maybe get some gearbox or ring n pinion engineer to custom make us some gear set. I'll be definitely up for that as the gearing on my stupid Rocky SUCKS big time.

To ideal size tyres are 30 inch or better still 235/75 R15 tyres if ground clearance isnt too much of an issue.
I'm running 31 inch and dont recommend any bigger than that. And basically i'm limited to 1st gear for most obstacles plus it rolls rather than crawl down hill.

Hey does anyone know if Ultimate Suspension still exisits?

If you were going to that trouble why not stuff some hilux axles under it, slap on some widetrack flares, and you instantly have a solid axle front wide track Rocky.

I tell u what is the bomb i've seen so far with my eyes.
A Daihatsu Rocky F70 with a Toyota Supra 1JZ turbo engine mated to a LandCruiser box and axles with airlockers.
But to me the best of the lot is still a Toyota 1KZ 3 litre turbo diesel with Volvo C303 axles on a Rocky.

Beats the heck of running Hilux axles eh. Hehe
On my side why i never bothered doing a Hilux axle conversion is coz i've a Toyota Hilux as my 2nd 4wd truck.

Wouldn't be any harder then a lot of other conversions getting around the place. One of the biggest bits where money goes in modifications is paying people to do the work, do the work yourself and the costs are dropped considerably, also who you know and where you can source parts helps aswell. Take a bodylift for example, people throw all kinds of figures around for the cost. I am about to do one on my Patrol and if it costs me more then $20 i am going to give up, take into account i already have the blocks and bolts and haven't hit that amount yet ;)
