removing steering arm on a 40series

ok seems one of the steering arms is stuffed the hole is ovaled so the arm has to be removed now i unbolted it but after doing that i realised that its not that simple unfortunatly
is there a easy way to remove it without removing the whole nuckle argh someone please help me i dont wanna have to pull the whole thing apart just to change the arm

or can i get it drilled out bigger and get a insert fitted ??

so the tie rod hole is ovaled now, so you are replacing just the arm, if you support the axle and the hub you will be able to pull the arm off. it will sit there untill you put the new arm back on

watch it though cause it is a common problem with the kin pin bearings letting go, so you may see the left overs of your top kin pin bearing fall into the knuckle.

if it is the case you can pull the knukle off with out having to pull the wheel bearing out, this is certain on a disc brake front NFI about a drum break setup

yeah tie road hole is ovaled the mechanic said it prolly happened when that wheel hit the ground when the last woner rolled it

ill give it a try tomorrow being a bit more patience rather than trying to use brute force

yeah its disk brake front end so ill be happy if its a easy fix for now spent 700bux on it this week diff tie rod ends steering damper wheel cylnders argh owell hopefully it will run better once these few things are fixed

got it out was easy after you said support the hub

went and brought a new arm and grrrr drum brake ones have a smaller mounting hole spacing argh damn 4x4s are sending me insane

anyone got a disk brake drivers side steering arm spare need it asap
