girlfriends got a holden gemini, boot lock has shat itself.. the key turns, but nothing happens.. how the fark do I get in?

before you say "go through the seats", I am 100% sure the petrol tank is bolted behind the seats in the boot..

need help :oops:

yep you are right the fuel tank will be in the road but just check that if you pull the seat you may be able to see wots goin on and use some long to open that way just a hunch

the petrol tank is definatly behine the back seat, also there will be next to no room to see whats going on, especially if the fuel tank hast the old wood covwe still there, on a better not, Gemini boot floors tend to rust out, see if you can stick your hand in and play with the latch,

Also, take the mighty screw driver to the lock like any thief would do, and give it a nice big twist!

yup
see if you can PRY the whole key assemby out and stick your finger in to release the locking mechanicsm.

If you're careful.. use a couple of screwdrivers..... stick one inside the key hole and give it a good yank sideways without bending anything..

The key barrel may come loose if lucky.. provided clip behind it is not rusted to it.. then turn the whole barrel istelf.
