Sourcing some stuff
Ok people i need some help/ideas in sourcing some stuff for my Sierra
i am looking at getting an auto to mate up to my Toyota 5K engine. Will also need a flexplate, cable shifter and cooler. What where and how much
I can get a 3 speed auto & flexplate for $220 from EKW any other suggestions
Also looking to do a power steering swap. What will I need to get and from what vehicles. I have heard of using a celica box and pitman arm.

Hey Grimbo first off forget the B J (BIG JOKERS ) BLOKES they are cruizer goons
I am running a tri-matic from a ke 70 corolla but it is not stock it has been fiddled with (like the cruizer goons by there dadies)
there are a lot of mods to do to make it work but i have found a new easier way , my current auto is this.
Standard flex plate , early vitara torque convertor (mine is modded for less stall 1800 rpm due to super charger) running the vitara pump in the corolla bell housing connected to the vitara case it has a cable kick down where as the corolla is electric i did run this but you have to do half of the manual shif , remove the kick down solinoid and drill and tap some fittings in to the case to move the kick down solinoid external i used an l p g solinoid
This was required to allow the front tail shaft to clear the pan after the pan was cut and sealed i increased my oil pan capacity at this point and ran a coil front tail shaft for more clearence
I used a manual shift cable from a toyota sv21 camry and the standard shifter fron the corolla the biggest problem with auto's is heat so fit the biggest cooler you can.
I am running the air con condenser from the camry as my oil cooler with a fan as well it has 10+ liters capacity
any thing else you want to know then just ask
