Looking for some batteries for the new zook. Was wondering what opinions people have.
There are dozens around but have narrowed down to three (unless anyone has any ideas)
Optima yellow top, procomp (same as optima i believe) or odessy.
Not sure on sizes but need to run winch, 1.6 Vit motor with 130a alternator, 2 x lightforce XGT's 2 x Lightforce 170's but no kik ass stereo.
Will i need to or should i go to dual batteries? Thinking of possibly a factory battery under the hood and second battery behind the passengers seat.
Will be doing a few night drives.

batteries
Here are a couple of options:
If it was up to me, I wouuld ditch the underbonnet battery. It is in the worst possible location for CoG and weight transfer. I would drop a box through the floor heind the seats or something, and put two yellow tops in the back. Have a look at Gregs green thing, it has an optima on a wierd angle behind the passenger seat - works a treat there, and could not be much lower.
Another idea would be to run one of the teeny weeny oddessy's under bonnet just for starting, and a single optima behind the passenger seat for lights and winching.
Once you are running 4 lights and a winch, I reckon the extra battery will come inhandy. I don't like the idea of running a big heavy battery on top of a butchered guard - not strong enough.
Cheers, Steve.

Was thinking of running the small factory battery under the hood for starting and the other in the back seat position.
Understand re COG, will start chasing batteries now.
Any ideas re procomp vs optima?
