hang on a sec. So has Simon split with Hari and starting his own TV show or has 4x4TV changed to 4WDTV? Seems very odd as all the 4X4TV sponsors are on the 4WDTV sponsors page

if thats true that is a perfect way to destroy a decent idea. there is no way there will be enough stories and sponsors available to allow two shows to work out of the one city. Seems a shame, hopefully they can work it out if the rumour is true.

In that case I think Grimbo hit it on the head.

Agree, it has potential, but also with the bitching we may lose both shows.

Rest assured there was no fight or dispute.

I had organised for all sponsors to resign for series 2 and had sourced some new ones when it was decided without my consent or knowledge that I would not be a part of the future of 4x4 TV. This was both embarrassing and shocking as we were clearly in a partnership and had worked so hard to make it a reality.

This message was sent to every sponsor without my knowledge.

Every sponsor contacted me (we were interstate working at the time) and asked what was going on. I had no idea.

Understandably the sponsors were also shocked and stunned by this decision and voiced a grave concern that the show would not continue without me.

With a lot of encouragement 4wd TV was born and every sponsor rallied with support and confidence. This support extended to C31 and hence we are set to air on Thursday October 7th at 7:00pm.

In regard to enough footage and sponsors...within the last two weeks we had one cameraman at the VTAC event, 4 at the Ateco, 2 at PUOSU and one at a 4wd park in NZ. We have also been exclusively invited to film at Landcruiser Mountain Park and have exclusive access to private footage from past OBC and RFC events and airing rights to the RFC and NZ winch tapes. We also have firm committments from club event organisers right along the east coast. The sponsors have also been fantastically supportive and as well as the regulars we have already sourced another six companies who will be involved at a variety of levels including a new naming rights sponsor.

It was never my intention for any split whatsoever and this irrational act has been both stressful and embarrassing. My wife and I, along with Hari, had set out to provide something new and refreshing for the industry. We undertook that responsibility seriously and wish to see that through.

We have the full support of C31. We have the full support of the industry. We have the full support of the events organisers. We have already filmed enough hardcore off roading to fill the first series and we hope that you all will be watching. The beginnings of our site are at www.4wdtv.com.au ...keep an eye on it.

Whatever rumours you may hear, we sincerely wish to move on from here in a positive and proactive manner. I did not instigate this split in any way whatsoever, simply ask yourselves why 4wd TV has full support. You are all welcome to contact me at any time for details.

Regards,
Simon & Miranda Christie.

Not a hi-jack - more a question.
I can't pick up Ch 31 out here in the country. Is there any way we can get to see this footage? Over the net maybe?
Have you guys tried to get SBS to air it in part on their motoring shows? (we get SBS).

Thanks

Things will be a little different now. Our website will have downloadable vids soon and we will not only be producing DVDs of the show but have been asked to make them for some of the leading events including the Ateco.
Just keep spreading the word and checking the website... www.4wdtv.com.au
