I am looking to get some Sunraysias and having the centre cut out and moved inwards to get a larger offset.
Then have either Powder-coated or chromed, most probably P/C.
Questions:
Anyone in Brisbane do this?
Are Sunraysias good for this?
Is there a cheaper option?
All help needed.
Cheers - Meldge

God of Magnificant Ideas!
"Speedy Wheels" & "Mullins Wheels" used to supply rims and centres seperately when so ordered that way. I'm not sure if they still do this anymore but worth contacting them ( Yellow pages ). There may be issues with the "legal requirements" for them not to supply them that way anymore, but they may still do so if it was for example for a "buggy"
This would save the time/cost of seperating a complete rim to do the mods you require.
There was a company in Melbourne that supplied rims to your requirements for the same price as a stock set, I think it was called "harrisons engineering", I havent dealt with them for years now but they were good back then, when it came to odd rim offsets and sizes IE 15.5 inch X 9.5 inch rims with a 2 inch backspace etc (Agricultrial use rims)
Kingy

And your cry-baby, whinyassed opinion would be.....?
I had mine done by a guy on the northside (does the work after hours). He is a lot cheaper than Race engineering and the wheels balanced up better than new when he was finished.
PM me if you want his contact details.

About half the price race engineering quoted me. Both quotes were for cutting out the centres on some disco rims, flipping the centres (30mm extra offset), welding up the old valve holes and drilling new ones.
