looking at an X90
looking at an X90
hey guys my misses is lookin at buying an X90 as a run about, just wondering wat the suzuki guys opinion of them is?? its a one owner 96, auto, 70,000 kms and they're asking a neg. 10k. is that a fair asking price? any major flaws in the X90 people have found. they look like a cool little ute thing and im already thinking my old set of 31's would look really tuff. just cant make it too good or she'll start overtaking the lux off road hahaha

Hope she doesn't play golf Seriously though if she just wants a city car to take to the beach every now and again it'll be ok, as long as your lux can carry the gear
Also 31's will kill the gearing OME i think do a 2" lift now and 215 's would fit well I think
From what I understand they are basically a different body thrown onto a Vit chassis/drivetrain. Meaning rockhopper/lockers and lift are all relatively easily attainable.
I reckon you'd fit 235s under there with a 2-3" lift. I reckon you'd struggle to make 31s fit in the guards, unless you're happy to cut. I run 235s and with the 1.6 you'll have no probs turning them.
$10k sounds OK, but only if you want something different - IMHO why not get a same age Vitara? More cargo space, and look more like a "real" 4WD (can't believe I just said that about a girls car )
BTW there is some info on them in the FAQ.

that's one way to get your post count up, double post everything
The X90 is all Vitara running gear, chassis etc with a 2door body. They have very little interior room and a small boot. If you are looking for a cheap around town car that will be fine but if you do plan on using it for 4wheling there are Vitara accessories etc but the limiting factor is wheel openings size.
I'd compare prices with a similar year Vitara and imagine it would be a little cheaper as they weren't big sellers when released
Ransom note = demand + collage
yeah, they're just a vitara underneath, but like mentioned earlier, they have smaller wheel openings (the vitara ones are small enough to begin with )......so 31's will be a major undertaking of bodylift, suspension lift and guard cutting.
i'd just look at a 2 door vitara.........plus it'll carry heaps more cargo
