Sierra drivetrain sizes

Post by antt »

does anyone know the following sizes for me?

1. Length of motor from leading edge of pulleys to front of gearbox

2. Length of entire drivetrain from leading edge of pulleys through to rear output

3. Height of motor from lowest point on sump to highest point.

4. Width of engine mounts

5. Width at the widest point of the motor

Is the vitara motor and mounts in the same place and size as the sierra stuff? what about gearbox mounts & size? If they're close it'll help with measurements cause i'll just use mine ;)

Not sure on total measurements because mine's in bits.

The Vit donk will fit a sierra 1.3 gearbox with verry little work.

To get the Vit gearbox to meet the sierra transfer, not so easy.

ie use the vit donk, sierra gearbox and transfer (better gearing available for less $$$)

The engine mounts on my 1.0ltr chassis are different to the carb 1.6 vit mounts.

BTW, if you want the exact measurements you had better specify what model as i would think that they vary.
