Disco starts and dies

Post by Evan »

Hi all,

Series 1 disco ran ok this morning, now i start it, it will usually idle okish to start with (low) but then dies, seems to rev out ok, just dies at idle, revs just drop till it stops.
My guess would be air flow meter or something like that but thought somebody may have some hints.

While you're at it clean any soot out of the intake plenum around the butterfly. That normally helps on mine.

Thanks guys, i will give it a go tonight or on the weekend.
Sounds like what your descibing could be the cause because apart from dying when no throttle it seems to run fine.
