Post by Barathrum »

Just wondering what materials people use on there chassis extension? What size and grade? Also what methods have people used to strengthen there extension, so that engineers will approve it?

40 x 4 pipe for cross member (original is 50 but lighter gauge)
100 x 5 flat plate fishplate on the outer edge of the chassis

Cut them off then reused the lower half. For the top half used some 50 x 5 plate to join lower half to cross member making it look stock again.

Check page three of the juice box build up for pics. If you need more I can take some.
