wheel spacers

just bought 30mm wheel spacers. Anyone reckon these will make a noticable difference to stability offroad? any advice is appreciated

should do. widetracks are stable enough already but the spacers can only make em better! remember that they are illegal to use onroad though so its a bit of a job putting em on when you get to your destination and taking em back off before you hit the highway again. carry a small trolley jack, those scissor jacks from suzuki are sh1t!!

How much did you pay for them?

Doubt you would get busted on the road with them.

60 mm overall should make quite a noticable difference , the coilys are 35 mm wider then leafys when running the same rims & a noticable improvement

ive got 2" spacers on my narrow track and it makes a whole world of difference articulates realy well and is way more stable on side slopes etc , i was quite surprised at how much better they have made it handle offroad.

i leave mine on full time but i only gotta drive 5km to work less chance of getting caught than most and my tyres stick out a bit out side the guards.

one other down side with them apart from being illegal will be wheel bearing life but for the increased offroad proformance its a fair trade off

in short yes they will make a noticeable difference

I bought them from MENG tyre centre. The guy there said their company sold them because according to QLD transport, they form part of the hub assembly (bolted on) and are therefore part of the care hence LEGAL. I have my doubts whether this is right but as they are only $80 each (half the price of snake racing ones) they are a bargain!

as for the fellas legal babble i think you'll find he's having a lend of you and himself, but still there worth every cent IMO

They are the ones with the studs built in like the snake racing ones?

They ARE the ones like snake racing (minus the sn logo); they bolt onto the hub and wheel bolts on the spacer's studs.

Don't know if you have MENG tyres at Bateman's but anyway the number for Rockhampton MENG is 07 49266644. The spacers get made in Brisbane and sent up; allow a week delivery. I get mine on Tuesday. I already got the widest offset wheels that are readily available (read not custom jobbies) and am using bushranger flairs. I'm thinking of taking my flairs off altogether and making fibreglass ones;- then again I may just opt for rubber ones!

Have your spacers turned up yet? how do they look? are they good quality?
