Can anybody help me with the difference in weights between a 22R and a 3RZ-FE?

ive got a 22re engine stripped in tha garage

ill weigh each single part to morrow on bathroom scales & let you know the total weight

if that helps

hey bee bee

is that your white single cab hilux in put up or shut up

with hydo assist rear coil suspension

if so what year models your 22re ??
tazz was saying that you have just fitterd efi to it

why im asking is that im trying to get a custom bellhousing made. im fitting a nissan sr20 engine to r150 surf box

but if i cannot get one made ill be fitting my 22re.
but i need a later model block mines 86 i need 90+ model
to use in zook

22re engine weight

98% complete 22re engine weight
=========== 111.5kg =================

note dizzy & exhaust manifold missing + pressure plate/clutch plate missing. so i guess another 13kg + for a total of
============125kg===================

just for a comparison i checked the zook engine thats in the garage

100% complete suzuki g13a engine with all acc
============ 85kg ===================

Hey Daryl

Yeah that was Beebee's Hilux in PUOSU but he wasnt running a 22re. He was running a 2000 model 3RZ-FE. He has his 22r (non-EFI) for sale which is the "90+" block you'd need I imagine but I think he wants to sell it complete.

Sorry Darly, Beebee doesn't have the best connection so often doesnt come check the forums. Hi 22r is the original and the truck is a 92 or 93 model I think.

Thanks Hybrid :D It just took my comp about 3 min to upload this page :roll:

My Hilux is a 1991 model that came from the factory with a 22R. I have reciently replaced this with a 2001 model 3RZ-FE hilux motor to get the EFI that I wanted as well as the increased torque and power. I am very pleased with the new motor especially off road.
