First off widetracks werent available untill 1989 (1988.5 actually) and secondly they were available with either the G13A (1324cc) or the G13BA (1298cc) depending on the year. From the 1988.5 model onwards they sported a lower 5th gear than the earlier 5 speed models (1985-1988.5)
If your after a gearbox for the G13A try to find the one with the lower 5th as the older ones struggle to hold 5th on the highway with larger than standard tyres.

sorry mate your wrong :finger: but the 86 you could be right so i have fixed that , cheers
i have yet to see a 87 model nt except the lwb but i could be wrong , i dont care about the ratios i can drive in fifth no problem i have series 1 rh and 5.12 r/p , the sole reason for chasing a newer box is the old 85 model gear boxes have a pin hole for a breather at the back of the gear selector housing which dispenses of the oil rather quickly on steep long climbs etc , i have put a breather in and sealed the pin holes in both the 85 mod boxes that work well but one of my boxes is close to crapping itself so i might as well buy a newer one with the breather already installed .

Ihope that clears up any issues

oh i have 2 85 model zooks thats why i carnt just use the good one
