I have been thinking of doing a 2" body lift on my Roza. I have read all the links from FAQ's and am quite confident i can do it no probs.
However i would like to know the diameter of the body blocks required. I read someone used 70mm od but had to machine some off the outside to get them to fit. I was gunna go with 50mm outside diameter, can anyone confirm that this is correct.
Also, will a 2" suspension lift and a 2" body lift make a norrow track too unstable?

Oh and also, what material would be best.
I can get mild steel for free and have access to a lathe to machine them, but they would be quite heavy.
Or i can by some alloy instead and machine them.
So, M.S. for free and heavy or alloy for $$ and light?

Free stuff is the way to go any day.
As for the weight, well really, how heavy can ten 50mm MS blocks weigh? 5-6kgs? A case of beer weighs more.
It would transmit more vibration than nylon though.
Dont expect mere proof to sway my opinion.
There has been some debate over lift blocks in this discussion board somewhere. Think nylons are currently illegal in QLD but not NSW. Mine's in Qld and got nylon they are about 50mm in diameter from memory. I made sure I sprayed the visible ones black and got the bullbar and rear bumpers lifted to hide the lift as much as possible. Sure a bodylift makes your truck look beefy but is a compromise on handling in my view on a narrow track truck.

QLD. A 50mm body lift is a legal modification. You MUST apply for the modification before you do it, detailing what your doing, whats being changed, what materials your using, etc. After which, DOT will sent back approval, you may then do the body lift legally.
I believe lift block must be metal, not nylon.
