Can anyone tell me whether disco's axels are strong enough to take arb lockers or do I have go to maxi-drive.?

Furthermore, how much different is the running gear on discos to defender? (they appear to be basically the same)

Get the maxi axles. I broke an axle unlocked but with ETC and 33's.

hmm yeah I think driven carfully 32s would last but no guarantees, but If you can afford it maxi or jacmac will be good insurance

WITH 31''s and rear air lockers the original left axle lasted 1 trip going up a moderate rocky hill. Now running 34s and maxi axles i havent broken another one yet.
