i just drive my brand new ute and the brakes are great.

my 4 year old wagon was iffy, didnt realise how bad they were till driving the new one

i replaced the pads on my wagon with bendix 4wd pads and they were crap compared to the factory pads.

I know that feeling well... Had a vacuum leak in mine.
I've had all my brakes done at Brakes+ cause was out of pads.

Grab the head spanner man from your nissan dealer and take him for a drive, show him exactly what you mean..

being auto it uses vaccum on the brakes.

I would go to a brakes place and get them to do a safety check on it..

Then goto Nissan dealer and WITH the head spanner man, take a NEW one for a drive - say to him, you would like to see for yourself how the brakes are on others of the same model.

How many times do you press your brake pedal when you are going down hills bacwards. If it is a deisel then the vacuum pump wont be able to keep up with the demand if you pump the brakes too many times. What may be happening is you are running out of vaccum.
It happens to me on my GQ if I have to reverse down a steep tricky hill with lots of brake applications & it wont recover until it idles for a minute or so.

Does the pedal do really hard when it doesnt work?
Don't ask me, ask them. I'm just runnin for my life myself.
Well they are all following you...
No they ain't, I'm just in front...............

Nah just let the truck roll backwards down a fairly steep driveway

Say 4m then stand on them and it takes almost the same distance to stop it

ps im not doing this at high speed

as i said to my mate if you were putting aboat in at the ramp and did this

Expensive exercise
