hey all bought a new after market tacho for my GQ and the instructions say it gets its power from the ignition switch..... tried what i thought was the one but no go.... looked at the wire diagram for the patrol but cant really understand what wire it goes to... so just wondering if anyone has done it before and how?

All your looking for is a hot wire that when the ignition is on there is power to that wire and when it is off its off, all you have to do is get a test light and find a hot wire, there are plenty of wires around to look at...

Before you crimp your lead on make sure it is not on when you turn to accessery's (spelling) just make sure its ON when in the ON position and OFF when in the ACC mode or OFF mode, then your laughing.
