1.6l carby on 1.3l engine? is it a bolt up?

Post by fastvitara »

g'day folks,

My mate is currentlt getting his 1.3l sierra engine rebuilt.

I heard about putting a 1.6l vitara carby on it would be a good option for torque increase, while leaving the standard exhaust manifold, but opening up the rest of the exhaust.

the other option of course is to use the standard carby, but put a set of extractors on it.

The engine is having a cam thrown in it, and a slight head port done.

Does the 1.6l carby fit straight on, or does it have to modified slightly?

has anyone gone throughh this option before?

any help is appreciated. thanks guys
