IMHO and from experience with both I can say that the reset (re-arched) springs ride a lot worse. Height is gained or improved but ride remained the same on the old springs. It was still a harsh ride and new springs have always proven to ride...well, like new! ;)

Go with a new set.
Prices arent that much differant between the two and generaly the reset ones sag after a good floging offroad.

I done some research today in regards to this, the cost to reset the springs is 110 for front 110 for rear, plus extra like new springs etc.. I then went up to our local 4x4 specialist, they said DO NOT waist your money on the original springs, if it has had a spring pack fitted before no problems, but they said the original springs will not work and will sag very quickly.

They also said TWS or something like that does spring packs pretty cheap, I diddn't get mine quoted up but anyway...
I was talking to a block who had an add in the trading post, selling a MQ with a V8 conversion iether in parts or complete, anyway he had a full suspension done in pedders, with a pretty high lift and extended shocky's with this and that etc etc, he wanted 800 complete, would be a good deal as they are only weeks old...

Ive just reset all my springs to running 2 main long leaves and one from near the bottom of the pack
The fronts are extremely flat and will flex really well ( got a pic of it with a jack ), the rears are near flat and flex nicely as well. the trucks size has come down a coupla inches, but she is as soft as a trampolene :D

screwy :D

okay, no one here knows whats going on, NEVER while the rig is jacked up, put your fingers between the seperated leaves in a spring pack, and yank down on them, as the car may have a tendancy to roll, thus falling off the jack, leaving 2 fingers wedged in the spring pack, thus, leaving an inocent by stander, trying to work out how the "bloke" had used a jack, and a chassis stand to jack up a spring over MQ off the rear bar.
Imagine, tryin to balance a chassis stand, ontop of a trolley jack  , to get a mates fingers out............
