Hello everyone.
Its been a while but i've been a little busy between work and the Feroza, plus i've moved house and can't get as much computer usage. ie not my internet account anymore.
Well a few things have changed since last on here. I made up a body lift and installed it on the Roza, and i would have to say its one of the cheapest and quickest mods around. You could probably do it all in a day if you tried hard enough. I only did a 50mm lift but i replaced the standard studs and bolts with grade 8 1/2 inch unf bolts. Nice and tuff!
I also bent my exhaust last time we went to sheidow by reversing into a creek bank, snapping the rear mounts and crimping the elbow going over the diff. so no more rear exit exhaust. I've wipped up a 2" mandrill bent side exit. I comes out the passenger side just infront of the rear wheel. It a little loud though but i will have to see how it goes!
My rear bumper is also gone as i got that caught on something down at sheidow too and twisted the passenger side piece. So i've gone heavy duty and i'm i the process of making a semi trailer rear bumper for it. I've using 150mm C channel with a thickness of about 6mm. Nothing going to shift this bugger when i finish it althought i'm gonna feel sorry for the person who runs into the back of me!
One i'm all finished i will get some photos and finally post something in the forum members thread.

I have done a 2 inch body lift, and I can answer your question on how I did it. It was a real sticking point for me for a while, but this is how I did it. I took the gear box stick out, and with a press, reduced the bend in the stick, so it goes closer to the console and dash. This allowed a bit more clearance for a longer transfer case stick.
The transfer case stick was first a funny rebuild that ended up with the knob facing toward the rear, between the seats. But it still fouled the tunnel. I finally ended up getting another stick, cut off the top 2 inches, drilled out the bottom and tapped a thread to match the original stick. I then just screwed it onto the original, and replaced the knob. I then enlarged the tunnel hole by about an inch toward the rear. I then cut the rubber boot between the two sticks, and put an aluminium strip across the hole as a spacer.

Here is how its done, DANGEROUS STYLE!
I replaced all of the body mount studs and bolts with new larger, stronger ones so this meant that i had the two rear studs spare. These studs have the same thread and the 4WD gear stick. So, i half threaded the nut onto the gear stick and then threaded the stud into the nut and did it up tight. The gear knob screwed right onto the stud and presto, a gear stick extension in 30 seconds or less.
Pressing, Welding etc, just a waste of time.
