I am running bilsteins at the moment with a set of polyairs on the back as I have a camper trailer. They have been in for nearly 12 months -with no sign of sagging. I have ARB bars front and back with the spare mounted on the back and a 9500 pd winch on the front. So there is a bit of extra weight hanging over the front and back. I have done a few big trips - just returned from Cape Tribulation last week actually. I may upgrade to ranchos soon for more suspension travel.

Sorry...in relation to travel...they are very flexible. I think I chose the wrong shockie as the bilstiens are limited in travel. Plus the polyairs restrict travel somewhat.

You wil regret it.

Get longer Bilstiens or Konis.

AFAIK the longer Bilsteins are only available through Les Richmond Automotive (Formerly Rangie Spares).
Range Rover - 4.4 V8, MD Crawler Box, F&R Lockers, 35" Centipedes, 4" lift. Overqualified WebWheeler!!!

Les Richmond Automotive a.k.a. Rangie Spares are the only guys that have the very long Bilsteins for Rangies....

I had longer Bilsteins on my 110 County from a 80 series Crusier. Not using the rear Bilsteins at the moment (sitting on the shelf). You are welcome to try them on your RR to see if you get more travel or at least get the part numbers.

Steer clear of ranchos shocks for Rangies, they just don't work all that well, plus they wear out quickly, not a good thing when you're paying a decent price for them.

Konis are my personal choice and won't deter from that. Had them in all my other Rangies without any problems, altrhough you dom pay quite a bit for the privlidge :cool:

Ranchos were good off-road and had oodles of travel (rears) but the downside is that I have broken the eye off the rears on both sides and the bottom pin shered on both front shockies so I have been through a complete set due to breakage.

At the end of the day, reliability is more important than having a shock with lots of travel and breakage problems. just my first hand experience.

The guys there are very helpful, will make a shock to suit.
