Tyres...finally

Post by lowndsie »

Well i finally got my tyres.......MT/R Goodyear Wranglers 235/75/15.

They look awesome but i can post the pix. Already tried them out and they're not too bad in the mud. Got through alot of stuff in 2wd which used to take 4 wheels on the old tyres.

I was worried they wouldnt fit but it ended up being perfect. The looks that it's given my Narrow Track is amazing. It's got a real tuff look about it now.

It also improved my steering heaps. It's almost like i have power steering now.

Trying them out this Saturday through Lisdale and our famous mud bath from our last trip. I'll post up how they go. Also got extra 1.5 inch diff clearance.

Well the steering at full look doesnt seem to rub. I dont have power steering but with the tyres it makes turning a heap easier. I've had a two inch TJM lift which seems to clear everything ok.

Not sure on the track width comparison.

What a shame u've sold urs em.......i was looking forward to a little friendly competition

Next mod is to get a decent rear recovery point. Need to work a little more on the basics now. Thinking of installing a dual battery setup for running an engel / spotties for shooting and camping trips. Just need to convince the handbrake that it's necessary for safety reasons......

Lowndsie, Luke (Green Machine) had something like 6 spotties on his rig, running a car fridge and all he did was put in a big european car battery in... sure is cheaper than dual battery set up..... ask him about it. He's selling his rig so maybe you can get the battery off him..
