Yes you can bolt the single point throttle body off a vit or baleno on. 90% sure the manifold is the same. You'll want the computer, harness and oxygen sensor. I have a vague recollection that you'll need to swap the dizzy to get the computer working ( could be wrong here)
The multipoint set up won't work properly without the head to suit ( inlet ports and water jackets are different enough.) Joining the looms isn't that hard ( and you can add power steer idle up circuit)

How much "mumbo" does throttle body efi actually add?

Word has it about 4.483732 ..nah, about 5%. No pro though.. just what I've heard. The grand vision is to give it some pep on the cheap. EFI/extractors/snorkel .. any ideas?

Much more than 5% even with the 8V efi.... more like about 15%.

Better power, more fuel economy. Worth considering.

Also as the Carby starts off with lower compression than the EFI it's a great basis for turbocharging or supercharging.

Be interested in the $$ as well. Thanks Mud4B

On the performance note. Would the SPI take in account for intake and fueling that I am running a Sports cam, extractors and filter. (mostly the cam requirements)

cheers

What is the compression of the two engines?

I suppose it doesn't really matter though, because if you where going to supercharge the carby bottom end you would probably need a rebuild anyway, maybe forgies and then you would just get lower compression pistons to suit anyway.

But yea, I'm looking for a half cut of the multipoint engine... so if someone wants to sell me one give me a yell!

Cant find my manual and may have given it to the Viagra's new owner or it might be lost in the garage (happens pretty easily).

From memory it was something like 8.8 vs 9.3:1 although if you have an import motor it may vary.

Get off your lazy bum and do a search it'll be on redbook and about 20,000 other sites :finger:
