Just wanting to know what panhard rods to use?

whats good?
Looked at wizard, 3rd productions, tough dog, cheezy, snake racing their are many out their just wondering which ones are good

There all good. Also MaL Leslie who makes one piece longer ones. A better bet IMO as they look orig (larger tube) and you dont fiddle with them.

yeah thanks for the offer but i dont think it will fit...


With all the panhard rods prices i have been getting they are around $250-$260 per rod... with the exception of snake racing which are around $295

am seriously thinking about getting some 3rd productions ones but i'll see what happens.

is there anything wrong with making ya own or getting a welder to make one for ya. i got a welder to weld me new ones. all he did was cut the ends off and rewelded them with 5mm thick tube and it cost me $50 per bar

I use big balls rods front and rear with no probs at all, I wouldn't advise home made or altered by a mate rods. Could you imagine for a minute a weld snapping on the hwy, oooh nasty. Use something engineered and tested cos they take a pounding.

that's pretty hypocritical coming from someone whos signature line says "if you want it done properly, do it yourself"
what's to say he isn't a better welder than the dude at the whiteline, wizard, bigballs, whatever factory?

I've seen a factory one snapping at the diff end weld.
Customer wanted to know what was causing his wheel shimmy

i reckon that guy is probably good welder however i have heard of them snapping thats why i dont wont to do it to mine and i'm probably better off just letting them sit in the garage just in case i wont to take the adj panhard rods off..

So for say a four inch lift how much would you need to lengthen the standard panhards by?

So wendle you recommend home made suspension componants or cut and weld the old one's hey, would you cart your family around in a 3000kg 4wd wagon with the peace of mind that all your (his probably a good welder) welds are all ok. Not me dude and I have no affiliation with the big balls brand I just use em and abuse em. If he wants to weld his own fine but my kids ride with me!!!!!

yeah, why not. it isn't difficult to build things much stronger than factory items. the factory stuff was never designed to cop the sort of flogging a lot of these vehicles receive.

About 12 to 15mm longer for a 4" lift.
Not much in it, measure 3mm between your fingers

I thought liam was using Whiteline panhards in his kits?

Whos Liam? My rods had big balls sticker on em or was it just on the invoice can't remember, had em for ages. Am on my fourth set of bushes in the front one, have genuine nissan items in now & steers better(bushes in the rod that is).
