2 door vitara on 35`s
Yeah, this one rocks house! Check out his mate muddyvitara.co.uk .. not as extreme, but nice work on the custom bar!
Just out of curiosity, has anyone come across the maker of the roof carriers that bolt on around and down to the back on all these UK Vits? As in muddyvitara. Maybe not the toughest things on top, but they giva the ride a mighty nice profile.

i think that the roof carriers are made by calmini. not too sure.
i want to make one up that looks similar, but not for carrying gear, but for my spare tyre, and a hi lift jack only. i think it mounts on the back just outside the rear tail gate, and on the middle pillar behind the doors.
i was also thinking i could mount my spotlights on the front of that, rather than having a seperate light bar.
what do you think? is it worth it, as i have a full size spare (31") that will not mount on the tailgate. or should i rethink it, due to a very high centre of gravity/increased tippage of the vitara? the spare weighs roughly 30kgs, and a hi lift, and some spotties. thats all.
the rack/carrier will be only above where the rear passengers sit.

Do you have any points on your vitara suitable for using a high lift?
PM Possum Hunter, he's selling his rear bar that he built, increased departure angle, easily mount 31" tyre on your tailgate, intergrated hitch and provides a high lift jacking point.
Have got pics if you want them.

Defiantly not made by Calmini Sikid.
I was looking for one over here after seeing one on a 3dr hard top. I couldn't find one so in the end I knocked on the guys door and asked him where he got it. He said his mate who was in Japan buying 2nd hand cars had found it and sent it over for him. I figured wouldn't be able to find one so I made a rack myself then Murphy's law - one appeared on a local trader here advertised for a soft top I though they had made a mistake so I brought it for $100.
No mistake though it was for a soft top, luckily my missus has a soft top Escudo http://au.f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/mud ... .dir=/83ff

does anyone have any more ideas/links for roof carriers etc.
i'm looking at getting one made soon, so i can stop telling the cops my spare fell off, or it was stolen, or..... blah blah blah, u know what i mean.
so does anyone have a good idea/concept they aren't game enough to do?
i'm stuck for ideas, i have one idea, and thats the only one, but i dont know how it would look after it made and bolted on.
i'm also looking at getting a new top made up. i think people call it a fastback.
problem is, should i keep a 4 seater, or change to 2 seater mini ute.... or just drop the idea all together.
i'm thinking of making a twin jerry holder for the back door, one water, one fuel.
i'm not asking for approval or anything like that, just looking for more ideas, and all options before i commit.
thanks
