gearbox main shaft price?

Post by sicklaser »

hey guys,
my gearbox got pulled a part today and the big nut on the end of the main (primary) shaft was fully stripped. The thread on the shaft is stripped as well.
Anyone know the price of a shaft or where i can get one other than daihatsu?

the mechanic reckons it will make the end of the shaft to weak and it may break. I dont see it being a problem cause we are only taking off the old thread and tapping on a new one. might loose 1mm of thickness from a 25mm shaft.
i am going to look into it if the shalf is too much.
