I am looking to raise my front 1-2" more and possibly get some better travel as well. The torsion bars are already cranked about 2" and the travel is minimal now.
I have seen some discussions about kits made for this. Any information-contact name would be helpfull.

I have posted a pic from a competition in the rigs pictures post. There are several more in the same gallery.
The engine comes from a 98 L200 truck (Triton I think). I have increased the compression and put a new exhaust with impressive results. Especially in the torque.
My transfer case came also from the same truck in order to fit the 2.85 gears.

I was out for a drive with a few friends the other day, they had heard of a company (i believe in sydney but not sure) that did a 6" lift for the Paj IFS.
I assume it's the same as the superlift kits that drop the suspension and diff mounts. I can't remember the name of the company. but aparrently it's quite a few thousand unfitted. I dismissed it after hearing that.
So there is something out there if you are really that keen.

OK, we get that here - 2.4/16 valve fuel injected in the Triton. I don't think we get the super select transfer case with it - or did you slot the gears into a non-super select case?
What was involved in the swap? Did you originally have the 2.6 Astron engine? What sort of compression ratio did you end up with, and have you got any dyno figures? Quite a few people in Oz contemplate swapping the 2.6 for the 3.0V6, but I don't think anybody has thought about the Triton 2.4 - you might start a trend here!

The kit is around 4-6k pluss fitting, and it is the drop down sort, if you REALLY want i can hunt through my 4wd monthy mags and find the add, or just reincofce the bash plates and well bash them

Cut down Sierra cab on extended LWB chasie running, Hilux front and Bundy back, with a 4AGZE should be finished about umm soon. A 60 Series work truck and some go fast toys too.

I had originally the 2.6 carb engine (Astron...?). The 2.4 engine was fitted directly in my transmission. My t-case was not super-select neither was the one I got from the Triton.
The new engine is VERY economical. As for the compression rates I don't remember exactly the rates but I will try to find out. The dyno tests were :
Max Power (before) : 117.7 ps/ 4,950
Max Power (now) : 123.1 ps/ 4,900
Max Torque (before) : 15.3 kg-m/ 3,100
Max Torque (now) : 17 kg-m/ 2,350
The low end torque has become very impressive, the car now responds well from 1,800 rpm. Notice that I changed the exhaust at the same time.
I' ll try to post some pictures later. The job done was quite impressive.

I know about a kit from Offroad Industries, is this what you are talking about? I have contacted them in the past and did again now. The price seems quite expensive but I would like to know what exactly is included.
My idea is that I may be able to get only the bits for the front. My rear is quite raised and it is easy to raise it more. Any contact would be appreciated.

Yeah thats basically the problem with the kit is the torsion bars hanging down. There is no extra wheel travel in the kit either just the 5" of lift to run 35" tyres. The point of the kit is to do away with a body lift and get enough lift in one hit to run 35"s.
Basically the only way to get more wheel travel out of the IFS (as it is) is to cut the upper bumpstops right down and do the balljoint flip along with the 10mm spacers and removing the front swaybar. This will yield a few more inches of travel but there is evidence that things are under more load like bending idler arms and breaking tie rods.
I looked at the balljoint mod but decided with a front locker that the CV's don't need the extra angle and fortunately I didn't bust one.
A few extra inches in wheel travel is nice but a front locker will give far better results offroad so much so that if you have 7" or 10" of front travel it just doesn't matter

Yes, this is the main reason I want one. I prefer it from a big body lift.
Also in order to raise it in the front, we had to crank the torsion bars and the angle of the balljoints is not very good. Right now my whole front system needs changing every year (or less...).
As for the torsion bars wouldn't it be possible to replace them with a coilover system...?

I have a L200(triton) and have also been looking for a lift for it, so far I have found very few option, but there is a lift from a company named SUN I have only seen the lift kit in a web page from Thailand. I have sent them a mail to see if I can find more about the kit, but so far no response, maybe since you are closer to Thailand than I (I am in Brazil)you can try and contact them. I Am sending you the link to the site.
One thing which I really liked is tha fact tha they do not reposistion the torsion bar thus it does not hang down bellow the frame. Check out the pics in the site

unfortunately the front suspension of the Triton is quite different. One main thing is that the torsion bars are connected to the upper a-arm, in the Pajero theya are connected to the lower.
On another matter I have just received a reply from Offroad Industries that their lift kit is only for models 2001 onwards

I do not know if the configuration of the IFS Triton/L200 changed when they went to the new model, but on my L200 which is 2003 but still old model in Brazil, the torsion bar is connected to the lower arm and as far as I could tel from pictures that I have seen it seems that even the new model Triton/L200 have the torsion bars attached to the lower arm.

Because I'm too lazy to go out to the car and crawl underneath it I'll ask instead! Anybody ever considered moving the Paj torsion bars to the upper a-arm? Is it in the "impossible" category or merely "too much work" ?

ok here is my stab at this and it's only a sketch and i have tryed to keep it simple.
red = a arms
yellow = shocks
blue = shock mount
grey = new bits
the mounts for the shock will need bracing but thats easy. i'm sure there is a set up that will fit that is in a car already if not then this might be pricy.
